Stanislav-Adziogol Lighthouse, Leading light in Oleksandrivka, Ukraine.
The lighthouse rises 64 meters above the Dnieper Estuary, featuring a steel lattice hyperboloid structure with a central cylinder and double balcony.
Engineer Vladimir Shukhov designed this maritime structure in 1910, and construction was completed in 1911 to guide vessels through the Dnieper River delta.
The name Adziogol originates from Tatar language, meaning 'lake of pilgrims', reflecting the historical connections of this maritime region.
The focal height of 67 meters enables the lighthouse beam to reach vessels up to 19 nautical miles away, marking safe passage into the river.
Three Russian missiles struck the structure in July 2022, causing substantial damage to this engineering landmark of early 20th-century industrial architecture.
