Klov Palace, Architectural heritage monument in Pechersk District, Kyiv, Ukraine
The Supreme Court of Ukraine occupies this three-story palace constructed in yellow and white, featuring symmetrical wings and detailed architectural elements.
The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery funded the construction of Klov Palace between 1753 and 1761, initially planning it as accommodation for Russian royal visitors.
The palace combines Ukrainian Baroque architecture with traditional elements, including a main hall decorated with an eighteenth-century plafond fresco.
Visitors can reach the palace by taking the metro to Arsenalna station and walking through the Pechersk district's administrative quarter.
The palace grounds once contained a greenhouse with over 2000 fruit trees, including tangerines and lemons, unusual for the Ukrainian climate.
