Antoniny, Settlement in Khmelnytskyi Raion, Ukraine
Antoniny is an urban-type settlement in Khmelnytskyi Raion in western Ukraine. The village sits at about 290 meters elevation and is surrounded by farmland and local plant life typical of the region.
A Neo-baroque palace built in the 1870s by Austrian architects once stood in this area. The structure was destroyed by fire in 1919 during Bolshevik actions in the region.
The settlement reflects the administrative changes of Ukraine, transitioning from an urban-type designation to a rural settlement status in January 2024.
The settlement is accessible by local roads and sits in a farming area. Visitors should keep in mind that this rural location has limited services and facilities.
A significant anti-Soviet uprising took place here in 1930, showing the resistance of local people at that time. This event is less widely known today but remains an important part of regional history.
