Cherkaske

Cherkaske is an urban-type settlement located in Novomoskovsk Raion within Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. The community sits at approximately 70 meters elevation and is surrounded by agricultural countryside with basic local services.

The settlement was founded in 1949 under the name Nove and renamed in 1957 after the 22nd Guards Tank Division. This change reflected the community's connection to Soviet-era military operations in the region.

The settlement reflects Ukrainian village governance through its hromada administrative center, which serves as the focal point for local community matters. This form of local organization shapes how residents engage with everyday civic and social concerns.
