The four-story structure, completed in 1905, initially served as the Kiev branch of the State Bank of the Russian Empire under architect Alexander Kobelev.
Italian sculptor Emilio Sala created interior decorations throughout the building, incorporating elements such as griffins referencing classical mythology.
Located on Instytutska Street in the Lypky neighborhood, the bank operates as Ukraine's central financial institution managing monetary policies.
