Huliaipole regional museum

Regionalne Muzeum Krajoznawcze w Hulajpolu occupies a former bank building from the early 20th century and displays about 17,000 objects. The collection documents how the region developed across different time periods through artifacts and everyday items.

The institution was founded in 1960 and grew as a regional history center over the following decades. Its collection suffered extensive damage during military conflict from 2022 to 2024.

The collection tells the story of how people lived in this region across different eras, from Cossack communities to farming families. Visitors encounter household objects and personal items that show what daily life was actually like.

A tachanka monument stands in the courtyard, representing the horse-drawn artillery that was used by revolutionary forces during the early Soviet period. This sculpture reflects how important this region was to military history.
