The brick mansion features two stories with detailed architectural elements, rectangular windows with ornate cornices, and traditional design characteristics of the period.
Heinrich Jantzen, a German Mennonite settler, constructed this estate in the 1870s while serving as the first mayor of Orikhiv from 1874 to 1899.
The mansion represents the influence of Mennonite settlers who introduced modern farming methods and established important community facilities in southern Ukraine.
The building currently houses the Orikhiv City Council and stands at 11 Shevchenko Street, though it sustained damage during military actions in 2022.
The Jantzen family built the first steam-powered mill in the region and established a 14-bed hospital, contributing to Orikhiv's industrial development.
