Church and convent of Benedictines, Lviv

Church and convent of Benedictines, Lviv, Renaissance church building in Vicheva Street, Lviv, Ukraine.

The Church and Convent of Benedictines is a Renaissance building in Lviv constructed from dimension stone with large arched windows and a symmetrical facade. The complex sits on Vicheva Street and displays the characteristic architectural language of the period.

Architect Pawel Rzymianin designed this religious complex, which operated continuously as a Benedictine establishment until its closure in May 1946. The closure marked the end of centuries of monastic life at this location.

The church takes its name from All Saints and reflects how religious devotion shaped the design of sacred spaces during the Renaissance period in this city.

The building is located on Vicheva Street and remains accessible for visitors to observe its architectural features from the outside. The site is easy to find and offers a clear view of the stone facade and window design.

The structure was built entirely from dressed stone, showcasing the craftsmanship techniques employed during the Renaissance period. The quality of the stonework on the facade and windows demonstrates the skill of builders from that era.
