Novoaidar, Administrative settlement in Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine
Novoaidar extends across 11.55 square kilometers along the Aidar River, forming the center of the Novoaidar settlement hromada in eastern Ukraine.
The settlement, established in 1923, functioned as part of Shchastya Raion until 2020 when administrative reforms integrated it into the newly structured Novoaidar Raion.
The population of 7,773 residents maintains three secondary schools, a music school, and a sports school, reflecting the educational priorities of eastern Ukraine.
The settlement operates under postal code 93500 and contains industrial facilities including a food factory, dairy shop, and agricultural infrastructure.
During the 2014 presidential election, local authorities prevented armed rebels from seizing ballots, marking a significant moment in the settlement's recent history.
