Tavilzhanka, Rural settlement in Dvorichna Raion, Ukraine.
Tavilzhanka is a village in Dvorichna Raion in eastern Ukraine, built along a watercourse. The settlement sits at around 105 meters elevation in an open landscape where fields and pastures stretch toward the horizon.
The village was founded in the late 19th century as an agricultural settlement and initially belonged to Kupyansky Uyezd. Throughout the 20th century, the administrative affiliation changed several times according to the political shifts in the region.
The name comes from the small river that runs through the area and plays a role in the daily life of the residents. The farmsteads follow traditional patterns from the steppe region, where houses are usually surrounded by kitchen gardens.
The nearest railway connection is in Dvorichna, from where regional roads lead to the village. Walks or outdoor stays are best during dry seasons, as rural paths can become difficult to pass after rain.
The location near the confluence of two watercourses makes the area especially interesting for birds that rest here during migration. In spring, the meadows along the river turn into flowering areas that attract insects and other small creatures.
