Chapel of Kampian family, Renaissance chapel in Lviv, Ukraine.
The Chapel of the Kampian family features black marble altars, red marble statues of Saints Peter and Paul, and stone medallions above the arcades.
Built in the late 16th century by Paolo Romano, this chapel replaced an earlier structure and served as a mausoleum for the Kampian family.
The chapel's dome displays a baroque painting from 1774-1775 by Stanislaw Stroinski, depicting Christ before Pilate in rich detail.
The chapel remains accessible through guided tours that explain its Renaissance architecture and showcase the marble sculptures of the Kampian family members.
In 1599, Paul Kampian designated 1000 zlotys in his will for interest-free loans to townspeople, with the funds to be stored in the chapel.
