Museum of the History of the Ilyich Plant, Industrial museum in Mariupol, Ukraine
The Museum of the History of the Ilyich Plant displays industrial artifacts, photographs, documents, and scale models across five exhibition halls totaling 230 square meters.
The museum opened on February 20, 1987, following initial collection efforts in the late 1960s by former Ilyichevets newspaper editor I. Y. Shevchenko.
The collection includes original photographs, labor tools, awards, and artistic works, including a bust of steelworker Makar Mazai created by sculptor Yukhim Kharabet.
Located at 19 Semashko Street in the Karl Marx Palace of Culture, the museum welcomes visitors from Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
The museum features working miniature models of factory workshops and chronicles the development of one of Ukraine's largest metallurgical enterprises through authentic industrial artifacts.
