Trostianetskii park, Protected landscape park in Trostianets, Ukraine
Trostianetskii Park is a protected landscape park spanning several hundred hectares and characterized by deciduous forests and coniferous trees. The grounds are crossed by artificial ponds connected by winding paths that link different sections such as the Swiss Valley and the main lake.
The park grounds were developed in the early 1800s following English landscape design with artificial mounds and elevations. This creation shaped the region as a significant cultural and natural landmark and has been preserved across generations.
The park contains the Grotto of Nymphs, a structure from the early 1800s that visitors can explore today. This spot served as a gathering place for social events and still carries the marks of that cultural use.
The park offers various paths and areas to explore, including scenic valleys and lakeshore sections with quiet corners for visitors. You can best experience the grounds on foot and discover the different natural and designed sections at your own pace.
The grounds hold ancient oak trees and numerous tree species, with some dating back to the park's original creation. These old trees bear witness to the long history of the place and shape its distinctive character.
