Охтирський Свято — Троїцький монастир

The Holy Trinity Monastery stands on the elevated grounds of an ancient settlement, featuring a bell tower and multiple religious buildings within stone walls.

Established in 1654 by forty monks from Lebedinsky Trinity Monastery under Igumen Ioannikiy, the monastery initially operated under the name Annunciation Monastery.

The monastery maintains traditional Orthodox religious practices, including daily prayers, liturgical singing, and agricultural work performed by resident monks.

The monastery complex includes a bell tower, residential quarters for monks, and the Trinity Cathedral, which remains open to visitors throughout the year.

The defensive bell tower from the first half of the 18th century represents a rare example of fortified monastery architecture in the region.
