Church of the Archangel Michael, Orthodox church in Chernihiv, Ukraine.
The Church of the Archangel Michael features a circular design with paired windows and three entrances, including a central entrance facing west and two side entrances.
Construction of this religious structure began in 2001 and reached near completion by 2011, with substantial support from OJSC Chernihivoblenergo and its chairman Yuriy Mykhailovych Lisnyak.
The three-tiered iconostasis contains carved kiosks displaying gospel scenes, depictions of the Virgin and Child, Christ, and numerous saints painted by Volodymyr from Novhorod-Siverskyi.
The church complex includes an octagonal bell tower reaching 34 meters in height, a Sunday school for children, and a well providing holy water.
The rotunda structure draws inspiration from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, following the design by architect Oleg Sleptsov with community-requested modifications.
