Nebelivka, Archaeological site in Kirovohrad Oblast, Ukraine.
The settlement spans across 260 hectares of land, featuring over 1200 ancient structures within a boundary ditch from the Neolithic period.
Dating back to 4000 BCE, this mega-settlement housed approximately 15,000 residents during the Cucuteni-Trypillian period of Eastern European civilization.
The central temple, measuring 60 by 20 meters, contained eight clay platforms for ceremonies and walls decorated with red paint patterns.
Modern archaeological research between 2012 and 2014 documented numerous artifacts, including female figurines, decorated pottery, and gold ornamental pieces.
The settlement demonstrates early urban development with advanced agricultural practices comparable to contemporary Mesopotamian societies of the time period.
