Church of the Ascension, Chortkiv, Greek Catholic Parish Church in Chortkiv, Ukraine.
The Church of the Ascension features wooden architectural elements from the 18th century, with a design reflecting traditional Ukrainian religious construction methods.
Originally built in 1630 and reconstructed in 1717 after destruction by Turks and Tatars, the church first operated under the name of St. Nicholas.
The parish maintains active community groups including the Brotherhood Apostolate of Prayer, Mothers in Prayer, and Ukrainian Youth of Christ organizations.
Religious services take place regularly in the church building, which underwent extensive repairs and restoration work between 2003 and 2014.
The church structure earned national recognition as an architectural monument, representing the preservation of 18th-century Ukrainian wooden religious architecture.
