Obraz, ландшафтний заказник місцевого значення
Obraz is a landscape reserve in northeastern Ukraine featuring flat terrain scattered with ponds, small lakes, and meadows across a large area. The reserve contains deciduous forests with broad-leafed trees, open grasslands, and water bodies that create a varied natural environment.
The reserve was established in 1987 to protect the natural landscape and local wildlife from human development. The area sits within the floodplain of the Seim River, a geographical feature that has shaped the character of this land for centuries.
The reserve reflects the local value of protecting wetlands and open meadows in this region of Ukraine. Visitors walk through the natural landscape and observe how water, grass, and trees create the character of the area.
The reserve is accessible by road and located near the village of Boiaro-Lezhachi in northeastern Ukraine. Walking trails run through the forests and meadows, so visitors should wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars for bird watching.
The reserve is home to the common vulture, a rare bird protected by international conservation lists and viewable in its natural habitat. The area also hosts the ostrich feather fern, a relict species that has existed in this region for an extremely long time.
