Nicknamed the 'Cathedral of Commerce', the building was funded by Frank Woolworth and has a Gothic style architecture.

The top thirty floors, formerly used as office spaces, have been converted into luxury apartments.

The ornate, cruciform lobby, is one of the most spectacular of the early 20th century in New York City.
