Independence Hall, Historic site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Independence Hall is the building where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted.
It was completed in 1753 as the Pennsylvania State House for the Province of Pennsylvania.
The Liberty Bell, an iconic symbol of American independence, is displayed in the Liberty Bell Center just across the street from Independence Hall.
The site is open to visitors year-round with free admission, but tickets are required from March through December.
It is now the centerpiece of the Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia.
