Number One Observatory Circle, Official residence in United States
Number One Observatory Circle is the official residence of the Vice President of the United States.
Constructed in 1893, it was originally used as the superintendent's home for the US Naval Observatory.
The house has been the official residence for Vice Presidents since Walter Mondale’s tenure in 1977.
It is located on the northeast grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C.
Unlike the White House, the Vice President's residence is not open to the public.
