Phoenix, Wooden roller coaster at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, US
The Phoenix features a 78-foot-tall wooden structure with a 72-foot drop, reaching speeds of 45 mph along its 3,200-foot track length.
Originally constructed as The Rocket in San Antonio in 1947, the coaster was dismantled and relocated to Knoebels Amusement Park in 1985.
The annual Phoenix Phall Phun Phest in October brings together roller coaster enthusiasts from across the country for special rides and memorabilia exchanges.
Riders experience a two-minute journey in trains that hold 24 passengers, arranged in two-person rows with lap bar restraints for safety.
Each wooden board received an individual number during the relocation process since no original blueprints existed for the reconstruction.
