Merrimack, Residential town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States.

Merrimack spans across four distinct villages including Merrimack Village, Thorntons Ferry, Reeds Ferry, and South Merrimack, encompassing numerous parks and recreational spaces.

The native Pennacook people named the area Naticook, and in 1662 the land grants were arranged by Sachem Passaconaway before European settlers arrived.

The town maintains strong connections to its brewing heritage through the Anheuser-Busch facility, which houses and displays the renowned Budweiser Clydesdales.

The Merrimack School District operates multiple elementary schools and a high school, serving the educational needs of more than 26,000 residents.

The name Merrimack derives from a Native American term for sturgeon, referring to the fish population that inhabited the adjacent river.
