Bellarmine University, Private Catholic university in Louisville, United States

Bellarmine University is a private Catholic institution in the Belknap neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The campus covers 135 acres (55 ha) with buildings including Pasteur Hall, Owsley B. Frazier Stadium, Our Lady Of The Woods Chapel, and W.L. Lyons Brown Library.

Archbishop John A. Floersh founded Bellarmine College in 1950 to promote Catholic higher education in the region. Fifty years later, the institution gained university status under president Joseph J. McGowan and expanded its academic offerings.

The Our Lady Of The Woods Chapel serves as a spiritual center on campus, while the seven colleges integrate Catholic educational principles into daily learning. Students often connect with Louisville organizations to link academic work with the city's community.

Visitors should note that the campus is set in a residential neighborhood and primarily serves students and academic activities. The library and public buildings are accessible during daytime hours, while sporting events at the stadium occasionally open to guests.

Graduates of this institution earn roughly 19 percent more than other college graduates in Kentucky within three years of completing a bachelor's degree. This income difference reflects labor market outcomes and the academic focus of the institution.
