Morey's Piers, Family amusement park on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey.
Morey's Piers is a family amusement park on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey, spread across three sections with more than 100 rides. The complex includes seven roller coasters, several water parks, and family attractions that stretch along the wooden walkway right by the ocean.
The first attraction opened in 1969 on Surfside Pier: a fiberglass slide that cost 25 cents per ride. Over the following decades, the Morey family expanded the operation to three separate sections along the shore.
The name honors the Morey family, who have run rides along the shore for decades. Today you see both modern coasters and traditional carousels side by side, drawing visitors of all generations.
Comfortable shoes work best since you will walk between the three sections. On summer weekends and holidays, wait times for popular rides tend to be longer.
The large observation wheel offers breakfast service in the cabins on summer mornings. Guests can eat while looking out over the Atlantic from 156 feet (48 m) up.
