Story Land, Amusement park in Glen, New Hampshire, US
Story Land is an amusement park in Glen, New Hampshire, with twenty rides designed for children, set among the wooded hills of the White Mountains. The path leads through several themed zones where small-scale houses, towers, and animal figures shape the landscape.
Bob and Ruth Morrell opened the park in 1954 with German storybook dolls and a single fire truck ride. Over the decades, new owners expanded the grounds with additional attractions and themed sections inspired by well-known tales.
The themed areas carry names from fairy tales and stories, with each section receiving its own musical accompaniment. Children often recognize characters and scenes from well-known narratives as they walk through the different zones.
The park opens only during the warmer months and offers several places to eat and rest. Families with young children will find changing rooms and shaded areas for pausing between rides.
Roar-o-Saurus is a wooden roller coaster added in 2014 that provides twelve moments of freefall. The lift reaches a height of 40 feet (12 meters) and targets young riders gaining their first coaster experience.
