Bellevue State Park

Bellevue State Park spans 473 acres along limestone bluffs, featuring two distinct sections: the Nelson Unit and Dyas Unit with trails overlooking the Mississippi River.

The park territory contains Native American burial mounds from the Middle Woodland period, indicating early human settlements along the Mississippi River cliffs.

The South Bluff Nature Center presents exhibits about local wildlife, geology, and natural heritage while offering educational programs throughout the year.

The Nelson Unit includes three reservable picnic shelters, a day lodge, and multiple hiking paths, while the Dyas Unit provides both electric and non-electric camping sites.

The park's butterfly garden attracts 60 different species during warm seasons, complemented by a pond that serves as an educational feature for children.
