Birmingham Groves High School features modern architecture with a scalloped roof design over the library and extensive academic facilities across its 7-acre campus.

Founded in 1959 and named after local education advocate Wylie E. Groves, the institution started with 1,052 students from grades seven through ten.

Students participate in multiple activities including orchestra, debate team, theatre productions, and the Falcon Action News Network television program.

The school system implements a 4-point grading scale with additional points for Advanced Placement courses, offering over 20 AP classes to students.

The graduation requirements include 28 credits across various subjects, with students permitted to enroll in unlimited Advanced Placement courses throughout their studies.
