Cameron Hall, Military sports arena in Lexington, Virginia, United States.
Cameron Hall is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Lexington that hosts sports events for the Virginia Military Institute and seats approximately 5,000 people. The facility also contains administrative offices for the athletics department and additional courts for training and practice.
The hall opened in 1981 after the Virginia Military Institute received a major donation from two brothers. The interior court was later modernized in the 2000s through a separate contribution from a former graduate.
The hall serves as a gathering place for the Virginia Military Institute community, where students, alumni, and visitors come together to watch sporting events and celebrate school pride. It functions as a social hub that connects people through shared athletic experiences.
Food and beverage options are available at stations throughout the building when you need refreshments during your visit. It's best to arrive early for popular events to secure good seating in the arena.
The interior court is named after an alumnus whose donation made a complete rebuilding of the playing surface possible. This naming practice shows how strongly the institute values its graduates' contributions to the campus.
