Catt Hall features red brick construction with extensive windows and stands as part of Iowa State University's central campus educational facilities.
The building, initially called Agriculture Hall, opened its doors in 1893 and gained recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
The 1995 renaming honored Carrie Chapman Catt, an Iowa State graduate who led the National American Woman Suffrage Association toward voting rights.
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences maintains administrative offices in Catt Hall, which opens Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
The Queen Anne Revival architecture of Catt Hall represents one of the earliest examples of academic buildings constructed at Iowa State University.
