Catt Hall

Catt Hall is a university building at Iowa State University featuring red brick construction and abundant large windows across its facade. It stands on the central campus as an administrative structure housing offices for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The building originally opened as Agriculture Hall in 1893, marking one of the university's earliest academic structures. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and renamed in 1995 to honor Carrie Chapman Catt.

The building honors Carrie Chapman Catt, an Iowa State graduate who championed voting rights for women across the nation. Her legacy remains visible through the name that reminds visitors of her pivotal role in American civil rights history.
