Corbin Cabin, Mountain log cabin in Madison County, US
The Corbin Cabin stands as a wooden structure with a rustic architectural design, featuring natural materials that match the surrounding forest environment.
George T. Corbin constructed this log cabin in 1909 within the Nicholson Hollow area, which later became part of Shenandoah National Park in 1938.
The cabin represents early twentieth-century rural architecture and building methods, preserved through its listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
Visitors can reach the cabin by following the Nicholson Hollow Trail, located 1.5 miles from Skyline Drive near Nethers, Virginia.
This cabin remains one of the few original structures in Nicholson Hollow that survived both the park's establishment and subsequent forest fires.
