Cool Spring Presbyterian Church

This Presbyterian church is a rectangular wooden building completed in 1854 and positioned near a river branch. The structure displays the traditional design typical of rural houses of worship from that era.

The congregation was founded in 1726 by Ulster Scots settlers and received a land warrant from Governor Thomas Penn in 1737 to build a meeting house. These origins reflect the early Protestant settlement of the region.
