Daniel Boone Hotel, Neoclassical hotel building in Charleston, United States.
The Daniel Boone Hotel features ten stories of blond brick exterior with tan terra cotta details, creating a distinguished early 20th-century skyscraper appearance.
Founded by Artemus Ward Cox and designed by William Lee Stoddart, the hotel opened in 1929 and expanded twice, in 1936 and 1949, reaching 465 rooms.
The hotel served as an unofficial headquarters for West Virginia state government, hosting legislators who shaped laws in its meeting rooms.
Located at 405 Capitol Street in Charleston, the building now functions as an office space while maintaining its original architectural elements.
Five United States presidents, including Hoover, Truman, and Kennedy, stayed at this hotel before its closure in 1981.
