Delaware Sports Hall of Fame, Sports hall of fame in Wilmington, United States
The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame features exhibits, memorabilia, and photographs documenting the achievements of athletes from across the state.
Founded in 1976 by Al Cartwright, the institution moved to its current location at 801 Shipyard Drive in Wilmington after the construction in 1993.
The museum maintains the Izzy Katzman Sports Library and presents comprehensive collections spanning from baseball, football, basketball to track and field competitions.
The facility welcomes visitors every Saturday from October through March, with annual induction ceremonies taking place during May celebrations.
The institution belongs to the International Sports Heritage Association and connects to the city through DART First State bus route 12.
