Qarshi

Qarshi is the regional capital of Qashqadaryo Region, situated at an elevation of 374 meters (1,227 feet). The city is defined by ancient mosques, traditional bazaars, and cultural institutions that showcase Central Asian architectural forms.

The settlement began as Nakhshab in the 7th century BC and grew into a significant trade hub over time. It became an important junction along the ancient trade routes connecting Eastern and Western regions.

The Kok Gumbaz Mausoleum dominates the skyline with its large dome and serves as a place of local spiritual importance. Visitors come to appreciate the Islamic architecture and spend time in reflection around this central landmark.
