Presidential Palace Historical Site, Presidential palace in Vietnam
The Presidential Palace Historical Site, located in Hanoi, is an impressive example of French colonial architecture.
Constructed in between 1900 and 1906 to be the residence of the French Governor-General of Indochina, it later became Ho Chi Minh's official residence.
Despite its official status, Ho Chi Minh preferred living in a simple stilt house nearby, which today can also be visited as part of the museum.
The site now serves as a museum that offers guided tours explaining the historical importance and architectural value of the buildings.
The complex includes beautiful gardens and carp ponds, offering a quiet refuge amidst the bustling city of Hanoi.
