The Huc Bridge, Red wooden footbridge in Hoàn Kiếm, Vietnam.

The Huc Bridge spans across Hoàn Kiếm Lake with 15 spans and 32 round wooden pillars arranged in pairs, connecting the shore to Ngoc Son Temple.

The bridge, commissioned by scholar Nguyễn Văn Siêu in 1865, underwent major reconstructions in 1897 and 1953 when its foundation changed from wood to cement.

The name translates to 'the rising and perching sun' and features gilded Chinese characters on its vermillion structure, reflecting traditional Vietnamese architectural elements.

Located in central Hanoi, the bridge remains open throughout the day without entrance fees, allowing visitors to cross between the lake shore and temple grounds.

During an act of resistance against French colonial rule in 1887, two students set fire to the bridge, temporarily halting French presence at Ngoc Son Temple.
