Chương Dương Bridge

Chương Dương Bridge is a steel road bridge that spans across the Red River and connects the Hoàn Kiếm and Long Biên districts in Hanoi. The structure features four lanes and carries vehicles of various weight classes.

The bridge construction began in October 1983 and was completed in June 1985. The project was a major engineering achievement for local Vietnamese teams.

The bridge represents Vietnamese engineering skill and reflects the technical capabilities of workers from that period. It connects two parts of the city and was built using local expertise.

The bridge is accessible to vehicles and serves as a key connection on National Route 1A. Visitors should expect heavy traffic during peak hours and can cross on foot or observe the flow of commerce.
