Stadhuismuseum

The Stadhuismuseum occupies a 16th-century town hall and presents exhibits on three floors about the region's maritime history and urban development. The collection includes ship models, paintings, archaeological finds, and other objects spanning different time periods.

The collection began in 1911 as a local history room in the attic of the town hall and was officially established as a museum in 1930. It has grown with new acquisitions ever since and documents the city's history over multiple centuries.
