Linderudkollen, Tourist cabin in Lillomarka, Norway
Linderudkollen is a mountain cabin in Lillomarka forest, located about 12 kilometers from Oslo's center at roughly 300 meters elevation. The site features ski slopes, forest trails, several ponds, and facilities for winter sports activities surrounded by woodland.
Development of the site started in 1929 when a sports organization received permission to build a ski slope in this forest area. Since then it has grown into an important training and sports center for the local community.
The facility operates as the main arena for Kjelsås IL cross-country skiing, managing training schedules for multiple local sports clubs throughout the winter season.
The location is reachable by bus 56 heading toward Solemskogen, with the Linderudkollen stop right near the site. By car, follow Solemskogveien road and use the marked parking areas.
The site uses snow cannons to produce artificial snow when temperatures drop below 4 degrees Celsius. This keeps the winter sports facility functional even during seasons with little natural snowfall.
