Haugesund City Hall, Municipal building in Haugesund, Norway.
The pink city hall features classical architectural elements with double pillars adorning its corner sections and spans 3,000 square meters of floor space.
Shipowner Knut Knutsen and his wife Elisabeth donated one million Norwegian krone in 1921 to fund the construction of this municipal building.
The building contains numerous artistic decorations throughout its structure, reflecting the architectural standards and artistic preferences of 1920s Norway.
The municipal administration offices and Haugesund City Council conduct their regular operations within this protected historical structure at Rådhusgata 665.
Construction of the building halted in 1925 due to international economic challenges and resumed in 1929 with simplified plans and functional modifications.
