Haugesund City Hall

A shipowner and his wife donated a substantial sum in 1921 to fund construction of this city hall. The project faced interruptions and later resumed with modified plans, shaping how it was ultimately completed.

The building displays artistic details throughout its interior that reflect what people in the 1920s valued in public spaces. These decorations show how the community wanted their civic center to look and feel.

The building is located at Rådhusgata and stands out with its distinctive pink facade that makes it easy to spot. Keep in mind that this is an active administrative center, so some areas may not be freely accessible to the public.
