Iloilo River Esplanade

The Iloilo River Esplanade stretches for several kilometers on both sides of the river, linking different neighborhoods together. The walkway network features bridges, stairs, and wide paths designed for strolling and recreation.

The project developed from a flood control dike in 2008 into a public recreational space over time. Investments transformed the location into the modern waterfront we see today.

The riverfront serves as a neighborhood gathering point where residents walk in the morning and gather in the evening. You will see people exercising and spending time together in social groups.

There are multiple access points to the esplanade that are easy to reach by local transport. The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are cooler.

The riverfront was designed by a renowned landscape architect and ranks among the longest linear parks in the region. The design connects different sections in an innovative way.
