Bohol–Panglao International Airport, International airport in Panglao, Philippines
Bohol–Panglao International Airport is a commercial aviation facility on Panglao Island with a 2,000-meter runway and a modern passenger terminal featuring multiple jet bridges. The facility is designed to handle both domestic and international flights with several aircraft parking areas.
The airport opened in November 2018 and replaced Tagbilaran Airport as the region's main aviation hub. Japanese development funding supported the project and brought modern infrastructure to the island.
The terminal building reflects the natural landscape of Bohol through its design, particularly a roof concept inspired by the region's distinctive Chocolate Hills landforms.
The terminal is well-designed for easy navigation with clear signage and directional aids throughout the space. Travelers should arrive with enough time before departure, as security screening and check-in processes can take longer during busy periods.
The facility incorporates environmental technology with solar panels for power generation and advanced water drainage systems. These systems use Japanese engineering standards and represent a commitment to sustainable airport operations.
