Philippine Arena, Indoor arena in Ciudad de Victoria, Philippines
Philippine Arena is a modern indoor venue in Ciudad de Victoria, Philippines, with capacity for 55,000 visitors. The seats are arranged in a semicircular pattern around the central stage area, while the steel frame roof spans several hundred meters.
The venue opened on July 21, 2014, as part of the centennial celebration of the religious organization Iglesia ni Cristo in the Philippines. Construction took several years and included the installation of deep foundations for earthquake resistance in the seismically active region.
The seat colors in green, white, and red reflect the flag colors of Iglesia ni Cristo, the religious organization that owns the facility. This color scheme becomes especially visible during large gatherings when thousands of visitors fill the interior and the pattern appears across the entire stands.
The venue lies about 30 kilometers north of Manila in Ciudad de Victoria and includes separate sections for upper and lower seating. Acoustic curtains can be deployed when needed to improve sound isolation between different sections.
The roof construction uses 9000 tons of steel in its span and reaches a height of 65 meters above ground. This design allows the entire interior space to be covered without intermediate supports, providing an unobstructed view from every seat.
