Old Capitol Building of Iloilo, National Historical Landmark in Iloilo City, Philippines.
The Old Capitol Building of Iloilo stands at the intersection of General Luna Street and Muelle Loney Street with its Greek-Roman Doric colonnade.
Built in 1840 with wood and stones, the structure became the provincial capitol when the civil government of Iloilo established in 1901 under Governor Martin Delgado.
The building reflects Filipino architectural traditions through its concrete ground floor and wooden upper level, following the traditional Bahay na Bato design.
The building currently serves as a venue for government functions, private celebrations, and conferences, located across from the new Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
The structure features marble flooring with medallions, Tuscan columns, and a semi-circular garden that was replaced by the Arroyo Fountain in 1927.
