Palace Museum in Wilanów

King John III Sobieski purchased the village in 1677 and established a residence blending Italian and French architectural styles. Over centuries, the property expanded and evolved, becoming an important record of how royal residences developed in Poland.

The portrait gallery displays paintings of rulers, noble families, and important figures spanning several centuries. Walking through these rooms, you see how the Polish aristocracy chose to present themselves and understand what mattered to them.
