The granite structure features a central chamber measuring 5 meters in diameter with a 10-meter-long passage leading to its entrance point.
Built during the Neolithic period between 4000 and 5000 years ago, this megalithic monument served as a collective burial site for local communities.
The granite slabs contain red paint remnants and artistic inscriptions, including jar-shaped motifs that connect to similar patterns found in Galician monuments.
The archaeological site underwent preservation work in 2006, including vegetation removal, herbicide application, and structural reinforcement of the standing stones.
A mask-like image appears on the headstone when illuminated from below, created by the arrangement of two circles and a small depression.
