Jagodina

Jagodina is a city in central Serbia that stretches along the Belica River through the Šumadija region, surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. The city sits at an elevation of 111 meters (364 feet) and serves as the administrative hub for the surrounding area.

The settlement began in 1399 as Jagodna, a name derived from the Serbian word for strawberry. It later grew into a significant town during the Ottoman period, shaping its early development and urban layout.
