Jagodina, Administrative center in Central Serbia.
Jagodina stretches along the Belica River in the Šumadija region, surrounded by hills and agricultural lands at an elevation of 111 meters.
The settlement traces its origins to 1399 when it was called Jagodna, derived from the Serbian word for strawberry, and later developed into a significant Ottoman town.
The Museum of Naive and Marginal Art preserves an extensive collection of Serbian folk art, while the National Museum showcases regional archaeological findings.
Visitors can reach Jagodina by taking the highway from Belgrade, located 136 kilometers north, or through the Nis Constantine The Great Airport Terminal.
The city maintains an artificial waterfall, an aqua park, and a zoological garden, making it a regional entertainment destination for Serbian families.
