Church of Saints Peter and Paul at Yauza Gates, Eastern Orthodox church in Tagansky District, Moscow, Russia.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is a brick structure with white stone accents built in the early 1700s following Naryshkin Baroque principles. The building displays decorative details typical of this architectural style and occupies a notable position near the historic Yauza Gates.

The building was constructed in 1702 during a period when Peter the Great was modernizing Moskow and introducing new architectural ideas to Russia. It represents the way European influences were being adapted to Russian religious buildings at that time.

The church remains an active place of worship where people gather for Orthodox services and religious observances throughout the year. It serves as a spiritual center for the local community, maintaining traditions that have deep roots in the neighborhood's identity.

The church is located on Petropavlovskiy Lane and is best reached on foot from Kitay-gorod metro station. Walking from there takes about ten minutes and leads you through the older streets of the Tagansky district.

The building blends two distinct Baroque styles, showcasing a rare example of architectural variety from that era. This mixture allowed craftsmen to combine local building traditions with European elements in a single structure.
