Tarkhany

The estate belonged to Elizaveta Arsenyeva, grandmother of the poet, where he spent formative years of his life. The place is connected to his family's story across several generations.

Poet Mikhail Lermontov spent his childhood here and left a deep mark on this place. Visitors can see how his family lived and which rooms shaped the young writer's imagination.

Visitors can tour the manor house, servant quarters, and church with guides leading through the spaces. Video rooms show materials about the poet's literary works and his life.

Each July, festivals bring together artists and writers who gather at the estate, with literary prizes awarded to honor his legacy. These events keep the memory of the poet alive in contemporary times.
